BU ION with APAC Sub Regional Manager Meeting (SRMM) in Shanghai

On March 16 and 17, Business Unit Ion Exchange Resins (BU ION) has held its SRMM for APAC* region in Shanghai. ION country heads for Greater China, ASEAN**, Japan, Korea and the Indian Sub Continent as well as ION Head of Global Marketing, Peter Steglich, joined the meeting.

 

The topics were focused on sales strategy for ION's new plant in Jhagadia, India which will be ready for production in 2010 as well as of major projects within APAC. The BU's latest investment on Membrane Technology completed the discussion. "Our new plant in Jhagadia will come at the right time and will be an optimal addition to our existing production network in Leverkusen and Bitterfeld. The APAC sales team is well prepared to execute ION's challenging tasks in 2010 and beyond" so Peter Steglich.

 

Wolfgang Heuchel, Vice President Ion Exchange Resins Asia Pacific, stated: "Our new site in India offers incremental sales opportunities for the entire APAC region. The strategic planning on the new production site will continue during the next coming months. "
