High-performance Lewatit® ion exchange resins for water treatment

Leverkusen – Specialty chemicals group LANXESS will be showcasing its high-performance ion exchange resins at the EAW Expo 2010 (Everything About Water) international trade fair, which is taking place in Chennai, India, from January 7 to 9. The focus will be on premium products from the established Lewatit® range for the fields of industrial water treatment, catalysis, chemical processes and food. With Lewatit MonoPlus® S 108 and Lewatit MonoPlus® S 108 H for example, the Ion Exchange Resins business unit is presenting a new generation of high-performance gel-type cation exchange resins for industrial water treatment.

At the congress taking place in parallel to the EAW fair, Dr. Rudolf Wagner, Manager of Technical Applications in the Ion Exchange Resins business unit, will give a presentation on “the utilization of ion exchange resins for the purification of biodiesel and as catalysts for the esterification of free fatty acids”. In a second presentation, Wagner will explore “new approaches to the removal of trace impurities from aqueous solutions with adsorber resins”.
