ION workshop at Kurita Water Industries Ltd.

Eight experts from the Business Unit Ion Exchange Resins (BU ION) participate from LANXESS Headquarters, LANXESS Japan and LANXESS Shanghai 

On Oct 29, a full day workshop was held with Kurita Water Industries Ltd., a long time Japanese ION customer. The seminar was conducted at Kurita's Global Technology Center in Nogi, Japan. The purpose of the meeting was to give an update about ION's and Kurita's latest product development and technology, and also to define further business opportunities.

 

Dr. Olaf Halle, Head of ION Internal Application Services, Dr. Pierre Vanhoorne, ION R&D Laboratory Director and Stefan Hilger, Head of ION Technical Marketing APAC*, reported to 20 people at Kurita on Lewatit products for Oxygen removal, waste water treatment and UPW** applications from various sections. Presentations about selective resins, QS and R&D activities completed the ION lectures. Kurita specialists reported on comparison between IER and EDI systems as well as on market needs and end user requests for UPW** resins.

All presentations were followed by intense discussions, then the workshop was continued by meetings with engineers next day.
