Once Around the World with Lewatit GF 202
LANXESS presents special ion exchangers for the biodiesel industry at the 1st Biofuels Roundtable Malaysia from March 24 to 25, 2009
Among other things, the focus was on the exchange resin Lewatit GF 202. “With Lewatit GF 202, our clients can produce high-quality biodiesel economically since it has an average lifespan of five years and requires minimal maintenance,” says Mark Seah, Sales Manager of the BU ION who also attended the trade fair.
Lewatit GF 202 also proved itself in the Biodiesel Adventure Project in 2008. On a tour of approximately 60,000 kilometres around the world, the LANXESS ion exchanger was used in an all-terrain vehicle with a small on-board biodiesel production plant. The fuel was produced exclusively from used vegetable oil and fat collected from restaurants, large-scale kitchens and diners along the way.
